In the case of wine products: • Evidence that the name of the Geographical Indication is known locally and / or Nationally. • The possibility of defining historical or current boundaries of the Geographical Indication according to easily identifiable geographic data. • Proof in terms of climate, soil quality, elevation, aspect or other geographical or physical qualities that distinguish the region from others adjacent, giving special characteristics to wines produced in that area. • The identification of the producer or producers who apply for the recognition of the GI. • The land registry of vineyards and establishments in the area that could be achieved by the GI in the future.
In the case of farm produce: • Historical background of the region and the geographical limits of the production area. • General characteristics of the region, climatic factors, topography and nature and consistency of production factors. • The products for which the Certificate of Origin will be used and the factors and/or elements that confirm that the product originates from the stated zone. • Detailed description of the production process (raw materials, production methods, packaging or processing techniques, production stage). • ID of the producer or producers applying for recognition. • The proposed name of the Certificate of Origin
